In the Treehouse

Excerpt from Feed the Fire: Seduction in Memory Grove Series (Book Three)

“Come here. Let’s start over.” He opened his arms to her. His muscular biceps flexed and hardened and she wanted him to envelop her and be her refuge.

“I’m so tired, Cade.” She crawled to him and he lifted her into his lap. Olivia curled up against him. “I’m tired of being scared. I don’t want to be broken anymore.”

He stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head. “I know. I wish I could erase it all.” He tipped her chin up and kissed her lips just as the rain began to fall.

The light patter of the drops on the leaves and canopy above created a hypnotic melody and she adjusted herself, straddling his lap. The hem of her skirt gathered at the top of her thighs and the roughness of his jeans scraped against her panties.

“I’m not afraid of you. Fix me, Cade,” she whispered, looking into his eyes. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pressed against him.

“I want to. I’ll try.”

She removed her dress and tossed it aside and

tugged at his t-shirt.

He pulled it over his head and dropped it beside her dress.

She reached for the snap on his jeans and he lifted her off him long enough to kick them off.

His calloused hands slid up the front of her bare thighs and over her hips. They paused, sitting on the natural curve of her body as if contemplating their path, mapping their route.

She leaned in to kiss him, nibbling his lower lip.

His hands trailed up her back, finding the clasp of her bra and releasing it. His fingers slipped the straps down her arms and the garment dropped to her lap. One strong hand cupped her breast, weighing it. He strummed his knuckles over her pink nipple, coaxing it to a hard pebble.

She moaned into his mouth.

He broke from the kiss and lowered his head to her chest, rubbing his cheek against her breast. The slide of his face over the sensitive peak provoked a response from the even more sensitive peak inside her panties. When he circled her nipple with his lips and touched his tongue to her, she tensed involuntarily. The sensation was so strong, so good.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes,” she whimpered. “Yes.”

She rose up and he pulled her panties down, his hands slowly gliding down her legs. His touch was strong yet tender and melted away the fear. His hand cupped her and she pushed against it, encouraging him. She wanted to feel some part of him inside her...

Taste of a Cowboy

Excerpt from Mount Up, The Seduction in Memory Grove Series (Book Two)

Luke stopped the truck in front of his house and she jumped out and ran for the door. His heavy footfalls were right behind her.

She cleared the front door but lost her balance on the stairs and fell forward. Her composure was gone and she started to cry as she pulled herself up and trudged up the stairs toward the guest bedroom.

He caught her by the arm at the landing and spun her around. “Natalie, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”

“Fuck you.” She wiped the tears off her cheeks and tried to stop her chin from quivering.

Something snapped in him. His face turned stone-like and he wrapped an arm around her waist and dragged her into his bedroom. He slammed the door behind him and released her.

“What’s that? What did you say to me?” He pulled his t-shirt over his head and unbuckled his belt.

“What are you doing?” She backed up toward the bathroom.

“You said, ‘fuck you.’ So, that’s what I’m going to do.”

“No, you’re not.” She crossed her arms over her chest in a defiant gesture, feigning the courage she didn’t feel. She clamped her trembling fingers around her biceps.

“We’ll just see about that, sweetheart.” He dropped his pants and moved toward her.

Her reflexes were dulled by the alcohol and she didn’t struggle when he grabbed her shoulder and turned her away from him. He pushed her against the wall, holding her arms above her head. He kissed the back of her neck from one side to the other.

Her anger was dissipating, quickly being replaced with wanton need. She was melting, fast. He knew where all her erogenous zones were and just how to tantalize them.

His body pressed firmly against hers, immobilizing her. “Stop it,” she whispered, without much conviction. “Don’t touch me.”

With his free hand he reached under her skirt and pulled her panties down her legs, then yanked the skirt up over her hips. His hand trailed up the inside of her thigh and stopped just short of her mound. He kissed her ear. “If you want me to stop, tell me now and be real clear. Say no and I’ll stop.”

She believed him. He wouldn’t go any further if she said no, but she wasn’t going to say no. The promise of pleasure was too great. And he had apologized for being an asshole. She found herself mentally justifying giving in to her body’s yearning even though she was still angry. She should tell him to go fuck himself, but she didn’t.

“Yes.” She turned her head and opened her mouth. “Kiss me.”

He pushed his tongue against hers and lifted her shirt. He jerked her bra down, exposing her breasts. His hand strummed her hard nipples, moving from one to the other.

He knew just how to touch her, how to make her purr. “Don’t stop,” she whispered.

“No worries there, honey.” With that, he freed her hands and reached for a condom in the drawer beside the bed...

What Pulls Your Trigger?

Excerpt from Pull the Trigger, The Seduction in Memory Grove Series (Book One)

“Are you blushing?”

“No.”

“Don’t be embarrassed.”

“You don’t have to try to make me feel better, Justin.”

He sat up and pulled his boots off. “I’m not patronizing you, Bec. You’re beautiful. Now, I have a confession to make.”

Her gaze met his. The heated hunger behind his green eyes was unmistakable. Her mouth wasn’t cooperating with her brain and all the blood in her body surged too fast, creating a delicious rush of desire and fear.

“When I drove away from the liquor store, I couldn’t stop thinking about you. My intentions were good initially, but now...they’re less than honorable.” He started to crawl across the blanket toward her.

She swallowed hard and exhaled. Justin had been the object of her fantasies forever and she wasn’t going to let a case of nerves screw up this opportunity. Her legs were stretched out in front of her and she leaned back on her palms, silently beckoning him closer.

Justin straddled her legs until his face was inches from hers. “Tell me what you want.”

She couldn’t take her eyes off his full lips. “Kiss me,” she whispered, closing her eyes.

The touch of his lips against hers was electric and the current went straight to her nipples. He advanced and she retreated, easing back until he was on top of her, one knee lodged between her legs, pressing against her sex. His tongue slid through her lips, gliding over her teeth. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he tangled his fingers into her hair. The kiss hit the flashpoint almost immediately and she wanted out of her clothes. In this instant, she didn’t care if she looked like a slut. Her skin was on fire and she wanted him to touch her in all those places that were humming and begging for release.

He slipped his hand underneath her to unclasp her bra. He pulled her up and, within seconds, her shirt and bra were in a pile beside her and her jeans landed next to the empty bottle of wine. He managed to strip her down to her underwear in less than a minute. Feeling self conscious, she covered her breasts with her hands. She was in a state of disbelief and awe, there was no way Justin wanted her.

He kicked out of his jeans and peeled his shirt off. Placing his hands on top of hers, he moved them away from her chest. He gave her an appreciative glance before he brought his bare chest against her sensitive breasts.

Their mouths met with bruising force. No more gentle nips and sips. This kiss meant business and instinct took over. She opened her legs wider to welcome his intrusion and he slipped his other knee between them. The only barrier between them was their underwear. Well, his underwear anyway. Rebecca’s thong would offer little resistance.

He caught her nipple between his thumb and forefinger and gave it a light twist. She was hot and achy with want. Before she could beg him to sate her, his hand trailed down her torso and slipped inside her panties...
